Why do I sometimes see temperature or humidity differences?

Your Steak Locker and Atomizer/Controller have independent sensors for both temperature and humidity. The atomizer/controller has a more sensitive sensor since it is directly inside the unit. There will be a slight difference between your Steak Locker panel readings and that of your application of about 3-4 degrees. If you are experiencing large differences you should contact us again via support@steaklocker.com or submit ticket using the support icon on the bottom right corner of the website.

Things to remember

  • Your atomizer/controller checks for new readings every 3-4 minutes so the data you may see could be up to 4 mins behind.
  • Atomizer/controller placement is important for readings. Please try and place the atomizer/controller on the bottom towards the back away from potential drippings or water.
